New Afton is New Gold's newest operating mine which commenced production in July 2012, ahead of schedule. It is located 10km from Kamloops, British Columbia. New Afton is an underground blockcaving mine, which will produce an annual average of 75 million pounds of copper and 80,000 ounces of gold over a 12-year mine life.
